We have undertaken a major refurbishment of our car parks. Over €30 million has been invested in significant improvements that will deliver new, more efficient, and sustainable ways to travel to Liffey Valley.
We have introduced a new state-of-the-art paid parking management system called Park Easy. Park Easy is a ticketless and cashless system that uses the latest technology and real-time parking information to offer a seamless parking experience.
When a customer drives up to the entry of one of our car parks, an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) camera will read their vehicle registration number, record the time of their arrival, and the barrier will raise without issuing a ticket. When it’s time to leave, there are three easy ways to pay: online, at a pay station, or directly at the barrier.

5. Why has Liffey Valley introduced a new parking system?
We’re addressing a long-standing issue here at Liffey Valley. Customers have told us that parking is an issue and so we have undertaken significant improvements to address it by resurfacing and realigning our car parks, introducing new lighting and walkways throughout and introducing real-time parking information that will allow our customers to find spaces and park quicker.
There will be more parking spaces for drivers with a disability, parent and child as well as new charging points for electric vehicles.
Our research also shows that customers are increasingly opting for a variety of modes of transport when travelling to and from the Centre, including public transport, car, cycling and walking. This has informed the developments we are making, and it is now more accessible for all our customers whether they drive, walk, cycle, or take the bus to the centre. These works are also a requirement of the Greater Dublin Area Transport Strategy and align with local authority guidelines for such facilities.
6. How do I find an available parking bay?
A comprehensive parking guidance system will be introduced at Liffey Valley making it simpler and easier to find a parking space. It will simplify finding a parking space by minimising congestion and time spent looking for a parking space. Real-time data will be displayed on the approach roads and within the car parks directing you to available parking bays.
7. How does parking at Liffey Valley’s new ticketless system work?
The new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is the latest technology in car park management. When a customer approaches the barrier, their vehicle registration number will be automatically read, and the time of entry recorded. The barrier will lift, and the customer can proceed.
8. How do I pay without a ticket?
There are three easy ways to pay with our ticketless system:
- One: Register for a Park Easy account on our website. This is the easiest and most efficient way to pay – customers that are registered with an account will have payment taken automatically on exiting the car park without needing to interact with any payment mechanism making it faster and easier to use our car parks, saving you time. Customers can also make a one-off payment online on our website.
- Two: Customers can make their way to a pay station, enter their vehicle registration number and the price for their visit will be displayed on the screen. Proceed to pay with their credit or debit card and upon approaching the exit barrier, the barrier will lift automatically, and the customer can exit.
- Three: Customers can make their way directly to the exit barrier, the ANPR camera will read the vehicle registration number, the screen at the exit will display the appropriate rate and the customer can make the payment by tapping their credit or debit card.
