About Kilkenny Design:

Kilkenny Design was established in 1963 by the Irish government at Kilkenny Design Centre in Kilkenny City. Craftspeople were invited from around the world to Kilkenny Design Centre to share their skills and work collaboratively with the community to help develop novice Irish crafters into self-sufficient entrepreneurs.

Today, Kilkenny Design is a family-run business with 18 stores nationwide including two Christy’s Gift Stores and a global ecommerce store with a thriving international customer base. 

Kilkenny Design are founders of Champion Green, a national movement to support SMEs and encourage the people of Ireland to seek local where possible and shop more consciously to ensure our communities remain vibrant for the next generation. Supporting local makers and designers from around Ireland is at the heart of Kilkenny Design since its inception. The much-loved Irish brand is delighted to open its new store at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre where you can discover the best of Irish design including Orla Kiely, Alan Ardiff, Enibas, Max Benjamin, The Heritage Collection and much more.
